Kobert Sport Armband

Every time I decide to go running at the park late at night, listening to music to keep me motivated to keep going. But holding my phone, or having it in my pocket is very unrealistic. The headphone cords always end up falling out of my ears and hitting the floor, and the phone would be bouncing around in my pocket.

I have always thought an armband to hold my phone would be an great investment to my exercise regimen.  This Kobert Sport Armband fits any phone up to 5 1/2 inches, so my Samsung Galaxy S5 fits perfectly. It fits any arm, that is up to 15.5 inches in circumference. It also has a small pocket to hold your key.

I have found that the armband I'd great for jogging and running, but it does slide a bit. It is a much needed improvement on keeping my phone in my pocket. Also, if I put the phone in upside down, it is easy to change the song or check messages if needed.

Kobert Waterproof Case Review

It's simple. I hate the beach. Ok, I don't hate the beach, but I hate actually going in the water and getting sand stuck everywhere. Even when I don't go into the water, sand ends up all over my close and the cracks of my phone.

But I still end up going, even in the winter, because my son loves it! In Florida, the winter doesn't scare us away from a good  burst of wind if it means we can play with some sand. But now I have a Kobert Waterproof Case.

After figuring out how to open it, and tested it to make sure there weren't any leaks, I tested it out on my phone. Not one drop of water!! It also comes with a Stylus type pen that works through the plastic so you can still use your phone, and a string to carry it.
With this case, you can still use both front and rear facing cameras to take underwater pictures! I think this will be awesome during the summer months when we hit the pool or go to a water park!

The Killer Within

The Killer Within
A novel by Jeff Gunhus

I will try to write this review without giving too much away as I do not like reading spoilers in good books.

There is something to be said about reading a book.  Sliding my finger across a screen doesn't give me the pleasure of actually turning a page on a good book. I am thankful for being having been sent this novel instead of reading an ebook on my tablet!

This Allison McNeil thriller is something of a page turner. As a vivid watcher of shows such as NCIS, Criminal Minds, And Law and Order, this book was just up my alley. This action packed thriller left me hooked from the Genesis. If suspense, horror, and murder mysteries catch your attention, this book is for you.

His attention to detail attached to the storyline left me dreaming about this pleasant town. I even looked it up to see if it was real! Annapolis is real and from Google pictures, it looks just like it is described in this book. Only minutes later I found out that the author himself lives in Maryland. There is also credit to be due to an author that started writing to encourage his son to get passionate about reading.

I also love that there is a lesson in this book, yet it isn't apparent till the very end. This makes me appreciate it even more. This life lesson resonated with me as much as it did with this "victim".

Pesto Hemp Pasta + Giveaway

In my search of a healthy lifestyle that fits me, I have gone through many types of seeds. Sunflower, pumpkin, flax, and chia seeds. I have heard of Hemp seeds but after trying chia seeds I have stayed away, but after doing some research I decided to give it a try.

pesto pasta, pesto hemp pasta, hemp seeds, hemp seed giveaway, hemp seed recipe, hemp recipes, hemp hearts, manitoba harvest hemp seeds, green pasta

Hemp Hearts have 10 grams of protein, 10 grams of Omega 3 & 6, and only 3 grams of carbs. Unlike the other seeds, they are soft. They have a comparable taste to Sunflower seeds. You can sprinkle them onto almost any dish. I folded 2 tablespoons into my yogurt one morning and it was delicious. I also garnished these Fudgies with the seeds and they blended in perfectly.

Find recipe here.

Manitoba Harvest was nice enough to send me an 8 oz bag to taste and review, and they will also send one of my readers a bag as well!

I decided to get a little creative with this bag. I have been craving pesto pasta like my aunt used to make me. So I asked her for her recipe and changed a up a bit to incorporate the seeds.

Mallow Coconut Fudgies

I remember the days when neighbors would bring each other homemade gifts for Christmas. While this is still relavent in smaller communities, this is scarce when living in a large city. Yet I like to make the effort to give within our little circle some homemade yummies this year.

One day, when I was shopping at Publix, I shopped at the perfect time. It was one of those rare instances where an employee cooks and gives out samples of the recipes they have in stock. I always arrive too late or too early, so this was a fun instance. After we got our complimentary cookie from the bakery for my toddler, we headed over to find them making Mallow Nut Fudgies. For someone who is not a huge fan of chocolate, this treat surprised me. It was delicious. I could taste marshmallows,  pistachio, and candy cane?? I needed this recipe.

After getting the recipe from the stand of Publix Aprons recipe stand, i looked for the ingredients. Hubby is not a fan of pistachio, so I decided to switch up the recipe a bit. Instead of adding pistachios, I added shredded coconut and hemp seeds. These little Fudgies are perfect for making and giving away as a Christmas treat! And it only took me a total of 30 minutes in the kitchen, aside from chilling it for an hour.

Softy Sanitizing Wipes Review + 50% off Promo code

I received this product in return for an honest review. I am not required to give a positive review.  All opinions are my own.

When I first ordered these wipes off of Amazon, I thought that it was a tad expensive. Then when it arrived at my doorstep, I was surprised at the size. This is a huge tub of wipes!

Softy All Purpose Sanitizing Wipes has 150 count in the tub. I found that the wipes themselves aren't too wet or dry. It is perfect enough to quickly clean your hands or surfaces.

I like that these wipes are alcohol free and they don't leave my hands feeling dry afterwards. I think the vitamin E and Aloe that is on the wipes plays a part in that. The wipes may not look strong, since they are sort of see through, but they're strong enough to hold a 12 pound kettle ball!

I have kept this tub of wipes on our kitchen counter. It is right by the front door, so if we have visitors, they can easily disinfect their hands to keep germs at bay. This is crucial this time of year when flue season is in full swing. I think disinfecting wipes are a must when you have a small child! You need to keep those hands clean!

T&M Inc has also been gracious enough to offer a 50% off coupon to my readers! Click here, and when checking out use code 7J95L6AU.

What is the first thing you will sanitize? I will be sanitizing all our doorknobs after publishing this post!

Figgy Puffs + Giveaway!

There comes a time during the year when you need to make something delicious, decadent, and beautiful. Sometimes asking for it to be easy to make is too much to ask. But then I experimented in the kitchen and came up with the perfect Hors d'oeuvre for your holiday parties!

These little bites of deliciousness has something to please for everyone. Valley Fig Spread is the muse for this dish. Valley Fig Spreads come in 4 different flavors and each has a story to tell.

Organic Mission Fig : The fig flavor in this one is extremely profound. It's a great spread to top off some toast, parfait, or paired with cheese.

California Orange : This spread still has the amazing fig flavor, but you will find a tangy surprise. This spread is perfect to make a salad dressing to top a summer salad.

Port Wine : My absolute favorite of all the flavors. The port flavor is elegantly shown in this spread. This spread is perfect for an after dinner treat paired with soft cheese and fresh baked bread.

Balsamic Pepper : A perfect spread to spruce up a simple salad dressing. Think warm a walnuts on top.

Of course any of these spreads go great on some toast. I paired mine with some fresh homemade french bread. Yum!
