Figgy Puffs + Giveaway!

There comes a time during the year when you need to make something delicious, decadent, and beautiful. Sometimes asking for it to be easy to make is too much to ask. But then I experimented in the kitchen and came up with the perfect Hors d'oeuvre for your holiday parties!

These little bites of deliciousness has something to please for everyone. Valley Fig Spread is the muse for this dish. Valley Fig Spreads come in 4 different flavors and each has a story to tell.

Organic Mission Fig : The fig flavor in this one is extremely profound. It's a great spread to top off some toast, parfait, or paired with cheese.

California Orange : This spread still has the amazing fig flavor, but you will find a tangy surprise. This spread is perfect to make a salad dressing to top a summer salad.

Port Wine : My absolute favorite of all the flavors. The port flavor is elegantly shown in this spread. This spread is perfect for an after dinner treat paired with soft cheese and fresh baked bread.

Balsamic Pepper : A perfect spread to spruce up a simple salad dressing. Think warm a walnuts on top.

Of course any of these spreads go great on some toast. I paired mine with some fresh homemade french bread. Yum!

Figgy Puffs

Balsamic Pepper Valley Fig Spread
Boursin Cheese Garlic and Herb
Goat cheese
Mini chocolate chips
A few Orchard Choice Mission Figlets, sliced
Dried Cranberries
A few dates, sliced

Instructions
1. With one box of pastries, carefully spread Boursin cheese along the inside of the round circle. Top with a few chocolate chips. Repeat with the entire box.
2. Cook pastry puffs according to package.
3. When pastries are done, allow to cool for a few minutes. The round circle with the cheese should have dipped below the outer edges. Top with Port Wine fig spread, then garnish with pieces of dates, cranberries, and figs.
4. With the second box, place chunks of Goat cheese around the inside of the circle. Repeat with the entire box.
5. Bake pastries according to package.
6. After pastries are done and cooled down, top with Balsamic Pepper spread and garnish with cranberries, dates, and figs.

These Hors d'oeuvre are perfect for any holiday party or get together. The mix between Boursin cheese and the port wine is delicious! They pair great with olives as well. Even my toddler ate a few of them!
